Introduction

In compliance to the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2013, Ishan Industries is committed to providing a safe and respectful workplace environment for all employees, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Sexual harassment in any form is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. This policy outlines our commitment to preventing and addressing sexual harassment and provides guidelines for reporting and addressing complaints.

Definition of Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment is any unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment, interferes with an individual’s work performance, or affects their employment opportunities. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal or physical conduct, advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees of Ishan Industries, including full-time, part-time, temporary, and contract workers. It also covers all forms of work-related activities, including interactions within the workplace, at company-sponsored events, and during business travel.

Responsibilities

Management: Management is responsible for fostering a workplace culture that promotes respect, diversity, and inclusion. They must lead by example and promptly address any instances of sexual harassment that come to their attention.

Employees: All employees have a responsibility to uphold the values of this policy, refrain from engaging in sexual harassment, and report any incidents they experience or witness.

Reporting Procedure

Any employee who experiences or witnesses’ sexual harassment is encouraged to report it promptly using the following channels:

Report to a Manager or Supervisor: Employees can report incidents of sexual harassment to their immediate supervisor or any member of management.

Human Resources Department: Employees can report incidents to the Human Resources Department through email on hr@ishanindustries.com and ishan@ishanindustries.com. HR will investigate all complaints promptly and confidentially, taking appropriate action to address the situation.

Investigation and Resolution:

All reports of sexual harassment will be investigated promptly and impartially. Investigations will be conducted in a confidential manner, respecting the privacy of all parties involved. Upon completion of the investigation, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against any employee found to have engaged in sexual harassment, up to and including termination of employment.

Non-Retaliation

Ishan Industries prohibits retaliation against any individual who reports sexual harassment or participates in an investigation in good faith. Retaliation against individuals who report sexual harassment will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Training and Awareness

Ishan Industries provides regular training and awareness programs to educate employees about sexual harassment prevention, recognition, and reporting procedures. All employees are required to participate in these training sessions.
